Half term Halloween haunts

As the nights start getting darker, the Channel Islands start to show a different side of their personality. The leaves on the trees start turning orange and golden, and pumpkins line the streets. Autumn has well and truly begun.

Halloween plays a big part in Jersey and Guernsey and falls just at the end of half term, so why not plan a trip for the kids and explore some of the local haunts...


Halloween Howler Ball, St Pierre Park, Guernsey, 29th October.

Sidney’s Sponsored Events invite you to the Halloween Howler Ball at St. Pierre Park Hotel. 7pm for a 7.30pm start until 11.45pm.

Tables of 10 and smaller parties are welcome, £40.00 pp.

The night includes a two course meal and dancing to City Limits.

Fancy dress is encouraged.

The haunted Castle, Castle Cornet and its Museums, Guernsey, 29th October.

Mark the forthcoming Halloween with a day of ghostly happenings, cosy storytelling, spooky guided tours and more.

A family-friendly dressing up competition for children & adults (with prizes to won) will be held at 3pm.


Halloween at Mont Orgueil, Jersey, 29th October.

Join The Medieval Dead for terrifying tours through the Keep between 6.30pm – 10.30 pm.* Lead by a gruesome guide, your experience will undoubtedly be grizzly.  WARNING - not for the faint hearted!

Beware La Vioge, experience the macabre with the Dance of Death and fantastic Fire shows. Horror film screenings in the crypt of ‘Paranorman’ at 4.30pm for kids and over 18s cult horror film ’The Prince of Darkness’ later in the evening. Special guest Erren Michaels as ‘The lady in Black’reading ghost stories from her ghoulish new book.


aMaizin! Halloween spooktacular, Jersey, 22-30 October.

Have you ever had a terrifying tractor ride, crept through a creepy cottage or played "trick or treat" with creepy ghouls in a maze of corn? Have you ever made a mummy pumpkin? A full Halloween experience for all ages and all included in your entry fee. New Little House of Horrors for 2016, ideal for younger children. aMaizin! Adventure Park had their first Halloween in 2015 and with such fantastic feedback, have doubled the event activities for 2016. All included in your entry fee.
