Visiting the UK on a short break is great for either taking your car or going on foot. You’ll be able to get a sense of the local area in just a few days – from taking in the local culture on a day visit to Kingston Lacy, to going on a relaxing nature walk to see Old Harry Rocks up close. And, there’s such a variety of places to stay for you to choose from for a holiday or break to the UK.

Places to stay in the UK

You’ll find a wide range of places to stay in the UK for your short break. Whether you’re after a weekend break in Dorset or a relaxing spa break, we’re certain you’ll find the perfect place to stay for your time away from home. Once you arrive to Poole, you can travel onwards to Bournemouth or other areas of Dorset where you’ll find plenty of things to do during your break. Or, if you’re arriving into Portsmouth, you can stay in the local area or travel onwards to Southampton for an exciting shopping trip as well as other areas within Hampshire.

Places to stay in and outside Poole

Arriving into Poole from Guernsey or Jersey is a great experience onboard the high-speed Condor Liberation. Once you get into Poole, there’s a choice of places to stay in the town, or you could travel onwards to Bournemouth for a bigger range of things to do, or areas in Dorset for a great short break in the UK surrounded by lovely and relaxing countryside. Book early to get the best choice and take your own car by ferry to make the most of your break.

Make sure to book early to get your choice of accommodation and taking your car by ferry means you’ll be able to pack everything you need without restrictions.
